Mother's Day Poem

Ryan wrote me a poem yesterday during church. When he told me about it I was expecting something really stupid, but I thought he did a pretty good job. Here it is..

I dated brunettes, but I married a "blond"
Thought I was dating the right kind of girls, but I was wrong.
Shyness and sweetness and wit were what I needed,
someone a bit more innocent and with faith deeply seeded.
Almost four years in, I've never second-guessed,
Of all those I dated, I ended with the best.
I dated brunettes, but I married a "blond",
a beautiful girl, a strong woman, and a great mom!

(fyi.. i was blond when we were dating due to a ton of highlights)

That's is really sweet. Way to go, Ryan! And Happy Mother's Day, Lindy! You have been a really good example of being a good mother as I've watched you with Lexi. I've been impressed with your patience and sacrifice and just how good you are at it all!

Ah! I just found your blog through Ashleigh's. I love it!

I wouldn't exactly have labeled you a "blond". But that's interesting that he does. :)
